I found this extremely valuable nugget re: Twitter on a video by Gary Vee today. I know, it may be common knowledge to some, but it may be very valuable to those that don’t know how to use it. The only reason Pinterest is crushing Twitter with traffic, is because people don’t know how to use Twitter correctly.

I often see the other way around too, when someone means to do an announcement of someone but puts the @reply at the start, e.g.
@joebloggs is the best!
…But only @joebloggs (and everyone who follows the two of you) will see it.

Noooooo! Oh gosh! It is only now when I watched your video that I knew about that. I never thought there was a difference between putting the ‘@’ at the beginning and in the end. Now I know why my friends do that. Sneaky Twitter! Ha ha!

I agree with you. People seem to like the interface of Pinterest than the rather bland look of Twitter. Little did they know that Twitter holds more promise in terms of marketing.

WOW! I didn’t know that. Now I know. I thought that when we add the “@” symbol we just mean that person. I didn’t know that only those you are following me and that person can only see that. Nice tip. Glad to have stumbled here.
